Don Brautigam

Don Brautigam has an honored reputation as one of the finest hardcover and paperback book cover artists of the 20th century. He has done numerous cover works for Dean Koontz , Stephen King, Lawrence Saunders, H.G. Wells, Robin Cook, Bentley Little, Mario Puzo, Issiac Asimov, John MacDonald and Agatha Christie. Brautigam's mesmerizing color work redefined paperback and hardcover jacket art. He is known for being the pioneer of using black paint on book illustrations which revolutionized the illustration industry. More than thirty years later, his original method is still the archetype upon which vast amounts of contemporary illustrations are based.
